Next in the hot-seat is order management lead, George Tann-Brankin – here’s what he had to say…
Tell us about your role at BeFibre – what are your key responsibilities?
As order management lead, I oversee accounts from sale right through to installation. Our aim is to ensure each and every installation is seamless, that our customers are aware of how we connect them to the network, and that they’re happy with the outcome.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
Working as part of a team! It helps that everyone has the same goal and is eager to constantly go above and beyond for our customers.
For you, what makes BeFibre stand out from the crowd?
We know the value of making an impression. We understand that in this day and age, broadband is a necessity and we’re here to provide it clearly – and without the fuss.
How do you think your colleagues would describe you?
Innovative, analytic, friendly, and honest.
Describe BeFibre in three words…
Genuine, ambitious, and fun!
Is there a life motto which you swear by?
Just keep swimming!
If you were stranded on a desert island, what is the one thing you couldn’t live without?
My dog, Peanut!
If you were the boss for a day, what one rule would you implement?
In any previous jobs – I would have said to ensure we take time away from our desks. However, our CEO already understands how important our mental health is! So, my rule would be to take time for your mental health – whether that is regular screen breaks, a leg stretch, or a cup of tea with a colleague.
Complete the sentence: When it comes to broadband, it’s crazy that people don’t know…
That full fibre broadband is future-proof! The current speeds we provide are between 150mbps and 900mbps, but these are just the speeds that most of our current routers and internet-capable devices can handle. In 10-20 years’ time, routers will be able to handle speeds way faster than they do now, and the full fibre cable that our sister brand Digital Infrastructure has installed will be right there and ready to step up to the demand!
If you could give a colleague an award for going ‘above and beyond’ who would it be, and why?
It’s hard to pick just one person out from our team – we all work incredibly well together. However, my colleague, Stephen Whyment, in customer order management, is a testament to how to handle order management! He’s the first person to put his hand up and help, going above and beyond for anyone — be it a customer or colleague!
Keep your eyes peeled for more team members taking part in our Q&A series over the coming months.
