According to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) – the UK’s recorded music trade association – our humble nation streamed a whopping 147 billion tracks in 2021. That’s a lot of Drake downloads.

And, given BeFibre enables you to download 500 songs in about 25 seconds (or 0.05s per song), we can transfer the entire nation’s 2021 playlist to a device in around 8.5 days. Unlike our rivals, with whom the same number of songs would = (not-so-subtle Ed Sheeran reference there) around 11 days.

Given that BeFibre’s premium 900Mbps package is 13x faster than the average fibre speeds in the UK, the nation could have saved 2.5 days (collectively) if they had been streaming with us. So, we decided to ask Twitter users what they would do with that extra time – given the chance.

How does BeFibre make music streaming so ‘good 4 u’? (Thanks, Olivia Rodrigo).

Because our full fibre actually is full fibre. Yes, that’s a fibre connection right up to your door, not just as far as the green box at the end of your street – plus, symmetric speeds mean that upload and download speeds are the same. We’re proud of the fact that our customers can enjoy the connectivity they pay for, not merely a proportion of it.

Of course, it’s not only music lovers that can benefit from our price-competitive symmetrical network, which delivers full fibre to the premises, and guarantees hypersonic upload and download speeds as fast as broadband should be.

In fact, social media lovers have the potential to upload 100 photos to their profiles in less than five seconds, Netflix fans can download an hour-long episode of their favourite series in just seven seconds, while gamers can access a new-release PS5 game in only 14 minutes – all without any buffering worries when you’re trying to work efficiently from home on a video call.

*All references to how many times faster our broadband service is, depends on you being able to access ‘superfast’ type broadband services of 70Mbps (or less) and selecting one of our packages at the advertised speed. Speeds shown may be affected based on the placement of the router in your property or the device you are using.
