Bowdon and Hale’s first resident now connected to BeFibre’s new full fibre broadband

Next-generation broadband provider BeFibre – which announced it was coming to Bowdon and Hale back last summer – has now connected the first of approximately 9.2k residents to its new full fibre network.

17 August 2023

Lewis Harrison of Hale Barns, now has futureproofed connectivity which delivers the guaranteed speeds the Harrison family need now and for years to come.

Commenting on BeFibre’s recent installation, Lewis said: “I’m really pleased to now be a BeFibre customer. The Linksys router is high quality, I couldn’t have asked for better equipment. The BeFibre team kept me up to date before the installation date took place and ensured everything was up and running after the engineer had connected us to our new broadband router.”

The announcement marks the town’s official launch of the fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) connectivity, following months of preparations to design, build and test the network, which is constructed by BeFibre’s sister company – UK telecommunication infrastructure owner – Digital Infrastructure.

“We’re delighted to have welcomed the Harrison family onto the BeFibre network — now they can receive the broadband speeds they’re actually paying for thanks to our partnership with Linksys and the symmetrical speeds the BeFibre network is able to provide.” explained Louise Elliott, chief customer and operations officer for BeFibre.

Committed to working closely with local authorities and stakeholders in every new area the team enters, BeFibre has been extremely vocal about its commitment to Bowdon and  Hale and surrounding areas, transforming how the community lives, works and plays.

“This is a fiercely crowded market,” added Louise. “However, by not breaking promises, giving customers guaranteed speeds, and delivering first-class customer service, we’re providing an edge that is hard to compete with.

“After all, we need greater connectivity than ever before – whether we’re busy with video calls, working from home, binging on box-sets, or gaming. In truth, being online is now a necessary part of everyday life, therefore, we’re moving in line with an ever-evolving broadband market with our fit-for-the-future infrastructure, to ensure that we meet demand.”
